Environmental compliance audits are a statutory requirement under many development approvals and environmental licences, carrying real consequences for non-compliance including enforcement action, approval suspension, or reputational damage with the regulator.
LAW's audit capabilityis led by Grant Brown, an Exemplar Global accredited Lead Auditor with over 20 years' experience across infrastructure construction and operations including major roads, heavy rail, light rail, renewables, mining and extractive projects, holding independent auditor approvals issued by both the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) for State Significant projects and the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) under the EPBC Act. The broader LAW team comprises environmental practitioners with direct experience in both the conduct of independent audits and the management of compliance obligations on major infrastructure projects. This breadth of experience positions LAW to deliver audit services that are technically rigorous, procedurally sound, and aligned with the expectations of statutory decision-makers.
