WestConnex Stage 3B: Rozelle Interchange

Project overview

The WestConnex Rozelle Interchange Project provides connections linking the M4 tunnel with the Anzac Bridge and the M8 tunnel to City West Link at Victoria Road, serving as a key interface for all WestConnex packages. The Rozelle Parklands are situated above the interchange with 10 hectares of green space and 14 kilometres of bike paths.

Our involvement

• Urban Design Manager: Managed thedelivery of the urban design for the WestConnex Rozelle Interchange Project,which will provide more than nine hectares of parkland within inner Sydney. The role involved leading a multi-disciplinary team in the development of the architectural, landscape and urban design. Established and ran an independent panel of experts, tasked with the review of the urban design, and provided strategic advice on the implications of design change on the planning approval.  
• Approvals Manager: Ensured timely start-up of the WestConnex Rozelle Interchange Project was achieved through the development of strategy which expedited the approval of management plans required by the planning approval. The role involved managing a team of environmental professionals, including specialist consultants, tasked with preparing management plans and sub-plans, consistency assessments and modification applications.
